RESPOND’s Young Parents Program, launched in early 2023, is tailored to the needs of young survivors of domestic violence (18-24) who are pregnant and/or parenting while also navigating housing insecurity or homelessness. In this program, young parents receive immediate housing and access to a range of comprehensive supportive services. During their time with RESPOND, clients work with our trained Youth Specialist to secure permanent housing, employment, educational resources, child services, medical care and mental health providers, and other resources needed to move forward into a safer future for their family. Over a period of 1-2 years (and sometimes longer), RESPOND supports young parents meet their goals for self-sufficiency and self-fulfillment.
